But, what is the "risograph" print?
It’s a printing process from the late eighties. An environmentally friendly process that is very similar to silk-screen print. The press only uses recycled papers and the Risograph itself uses banana fiber master screens and soya based inks – the discrepancy of the color coverage gives a certain charm to these prints. This machine is able to press only one color at a time and the soya based inks are only available in very few tones. But these bounds give more room for art experimenting. Artists like to use it for posters, limited edition pictures and fanzines.
